From 19 to 21 May, 2018, the Hessian Upland region will become the hub of the mountain bike world again as the BIKE Festival Willingen is set to open its doors again directly below the lower terminus of the Ettels Mountain gondola.
Germany’s biggest outdoor fair will attract more than 150 exhibitors again which will present the latest developments and products. About 35,000 are expected to visit the fair benefiting from several test events and bikes as well as special rices.
In addition, some 3,000 active athletes will enter numerous events.
Besides one of Europe’s biggest and most important long distance races – the Rocky Mountain BIKE Marathon – the second stop of the first ever Scott Enduro Series is also taking place in Willingen. Enduro fans can look forward to racing the flow trails of the Hochsauerland region in Germany again.
In addition, the iXS Downhill Cup is back with riders competing in the series’ second tour stop on the former World Cup course.
EBike friends also get their money’s worth at the Bosch eMTB Challenge supported by Trek which got introduced to the festival programme successfully last year. The youngest talents will go for a ride at the Scott Junior Trophy scenting some pure competition air while the second edition of the Warsteiner Sauerland-Giro addresses the road bike fans.
A race registration for the various events is still possible online on www.online-registration.de.
For further information on the festival, the programme or tips for accommodations and event registration visit willingen.bike-festival.de. The entry to the festival is for free (10:00 each day).
