RULES & REGULATIONS
First Aid + Evacuation: Information about the medical plan and location of the First Aid Base will be available at race headquarters.
Each competitor must supply the organizer with emergency contact details that can be used in the event of an accident on course.EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENT
All riders must wear a full face helmet during competition. The helmet should meet the regulations set by the event organizer. The correct fitting, condition and suitability of the rider’s helmet is the sole responsibility of the rider. Participants without helmets will not be allowed to race. Other safety gear is advisable such as gloves, knee pads etc.
Any protection rules put in place by the organizer must be followed by all competitors, no exceptions will be given.Rider Equipment:
It is strongly recommended that all competitors carry:
_ Sleeping bags
– Inner tubes/ puncture repair kit
– Multi tool
– Basic, well maintained first aid kit
– Eye protection (glasses or goggles)
Taking short cuts on course or within the race track are allowed in order to gain advantage but riders are not allowed to take short cuts out of the course or out of the caution tape or out of the race track can both damage the environment and bring the sport and spirit of Downhill Mountain biking racing into disrepute. Therefore, any rider trying to save time by choosing a line that lies outside of the marked course will be disqualified.
