Coming back for the second year, an event by ‘Kalyan cyclist’, the Rayate MTB Race 2019 was a monsoon adventure during Maharashtra’s rain spell week in June. Team Kalyan Cyclist has been helping grow the sport in the community by introducing new riders to the trails, organizing local events and maintaining riding spots.
The race categories were split into three parts – Cross Country, Enduro and Juniors. Sunday saw riders from Pune, Kalyan and Mumbai lining up on the start. A total of nearly 45 racers were pitting for the fastest time on the hill.
A 10.82kms Cross Country trail through the woods included rock gardens and easy flowy sections. The 32.24kms total race distance had the racers panting for breath.
Enduro leg grabbed the most attention amongst racers and spectators. The technical descents on course saw a couple of spills making it exciting for the spectators!
