The Speed and Style at Crankworx wasn’t without it’s drama. With the best course of the 3 Crankworx events the only that could go wrong was the weather.
Tyler McCaul and Kyle Strait who finished 1st and 2nd in the final
The rain turned up for the Speed and Style event on queue and made the ramps slippery but added water to the berms. As the riders competed the course changed and the results were shuffled. When the round of 16 was done it would be Tyler McCaul on the top step. He would have a tough close race against Kyle Strait who slipped a crank in the first jump and went down T-Mac looked back to make sure his friend was OK then aired the last jump to take the win.
3’rd place finisher Ryan Howard/ R-Dog over Tomas Lemoine from France.
In the small final Ryan Howard was against Tomas Lemoine from France but in the end it would be an all California final.
Here are some shots of the riders and comp by Malcolm McLaws during the speed and style getting down to the final four
