3rd Kohima DH 2016

The biggest indigenous festival of India, Hornbill Festival in Kohima, Nagaland now has a new age sport in the mix, Mountain Biking. For the 3rd year, Native Station put together a downhill race for the knobby tired youth! This year’s race was supported by Nagaland Tourism Department and the prizes by Giant Starkenn bikes. In the year 2015 Manuel Scheidegger improved the hourly world record in the wheelie – driving on a bicycle to 25.7 km. The aim of the worldrecord on a 400m track in Thun was to collect donations for Nepal. More specifically, for the reconstruction after the devastating earthquake of 2015 and for street children in Pokhara, the second largest city in the country.
