The Austrian bike-mecca of Saalfelden Leogang will host a stop of the UCI Mountain Bike Downhill World Cup for the 7th time. After a week under misty skies and threatening clouds, the weather held and the World Cup in Cairns, Australia went off without turning into 2014’s mudfest. The first World Cup of 2016 is in the books, and it was a wonderfully muddy, messy way to kick off the season! Peaty got some World Cup points, Minnar finished 14th, and Ratboy pulled off a top-10 finish, with a 6th place result.
