Guwahati’s Spokehub cycling organized the second ASSAM DOWNHILL CHAMPIONSHIP 2019 in the heart of Guwahati city in north-east India earlier this October. The “Monkey Temple Trail” saw over fifty five competitors lining up on the start arc for the Assam Downhill Championshoip 2.0. A 1km long course included wooden sections, berms, a few kickers and a big drop named ‘the nut cracker‘. Kohima, Nagaland in north-east India, steamed up again this winter during the Hornbill Festival 2017. Around the same time, Native Station organizes their mountain biking celebration – Kohima Downhill. The biggest indigenous festival of India, Hornbill Festival in Kohima, Nagaland now has a new age sport in the mix, Mountain Biking. For the 3rd year, Native Station put together a downhill race for the knobby tired youth! This year’s race was supported by Nagaland Tourism Department and the prizes by Giant Starkenn bikes.
