What can you say about Steve Peat that hasn’t already been said?
World Champion, the peoples champion, steel city icon, mountain bike legend?
As one of the most winning athletes of all time, with over 2 decades of competitive racing under his belt, turning 40 would for many, have been the perfect excuse to retire, but not for Peaty. His love for the sport, his commitment to racing and his desire to push his own limits kept him coming back for more.
#LastOrders documents the final chapter in Steve’s WC racing career, told through the eyes of director Joe Bowman, in the final season of This Is Peaty.
In early 2015 Steve underwent surgery on a torn ACL and meniscus only to return later that year to World Cup racing, but without a complete season under his belt, racing in 2016 was going to be an uphill battle and in a year that Steve would announce his retirement, qualifying for his final world cup season was more important than ever.
Joe Bowman “ In Episode 1 we take a look at back the last 2 seasons Steve spent on the world cup circuit, struggling with injury, the comeback and his retirement season packed with usual antics of the Syndicate and co. I am privileged to tell this story and share it with all of you”
Fighting for a spot on the world cup circuit following an injury filled 2015 season, Steve runs the team GB jersey to secure his spot.
Rammed full of unseen footage, behind the scenes action and Peaty’s thoughts on the future, This Is Peaty #LastOrders will be dropping each Monday throughout December.
So sit back, Grab a beer, and take a ride with Peaty, Rat Boy and the This Is Peaty crew. #LastOrders have just been called and this is a round you don’t want to miss out on!
