Coronet Peak, New Zealand, is host to one of the best downhill tracks in the country. Any downhiller who has ridden it will tell you that the dirt up there is all-time. The grip is endless, and the soil has a give in it that feels something like carving powder to a downhill bike. Combined with natural features, on a very well-designed track, insane speeds and truly epic views this track is something pretty unique.
George came up with the concept of a film that looked basically like a full run of the track with a drone following him. The drone would provide the perspective to show off the flow of this awesome track and we cut it with shots to bring you back into the action on the ground.
“I wanted to make two edits this summer. Of course another shreddit was going to be one of them, but for the other I wanted something totally different. A bit more work has gone into this than filming a typical shreddit so hopefully everyone likes it just as much! And for anyone wondering about another loose laps shreddit, don’t worry it’s coming soon after Crankworx!” – George Brannigan
